Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens


Call for Artists

The mission of Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens is to serve the community of Ormond Beach and its visitors in offering exhibitions by Florida, regional and international artists; to maintain a permanent collection of Malcolm Fraser’s works; to advance the arts through education and appreciation; and to maintain the Gardens as a botanical and ecological showcase.

Eligibility of Submissions
Exhibition at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum is open to any artist or collaborative of artists submitting original works of art or design created within the past three years. Professionals in ALL disciplines are encouraged to submit. Media: Open to any media including but by no means limited to traditional drawing, glass, printmaking, digital/new media, photography, sculpture, painting, installation, etc.

Submission Format
All entries must be submitted digitally via CD. The 10 images must be saved as JPEGS at 72 dpi. Additionally, images should not be longer than 900 pixels in any direction and CDs must be viewable from a Mac or PC computer. The CD itself should be clearly labeled with your contact information: name, address, phone number, and email address.

Also include artist statement and resume.

Please note that CDs will not be returned and will become the property of the Ormond Memorial Art Museum.

Limitations
All 2D work must include suitable hanging mechanisms, and either be framed or created on a gallery wrapped canvas. All 3D work must be assembled and ready for exhibition upon arrival. We reserve the right to reject work for the exhibition that differs significantly from the submitted images and/or for craft issues.

Liability
The Museum staff will take great care in handling artworks for exhibition. OMAM is not liable for any damage that may occur.

Shipping
The artist is responsible for shipping costs to and from the Museum. Call tags for returning artwork should be prearranged by the artist. Specific shipping and labeling details will be included upon notification of accepted entries.

Exhibition Selection Process: Artists will be notified electronically of receipt of materials. The OMAM exhibition selection committee meets annually or biannually to select artists for future shows. Artists will be notified in writing upon selection by committee. No materials will be returned. We look forward to viewing your submission.
