Two Opportunities for Ceramic Artists at LUX Center

MUG Shots: National Juried Cup Exhibition
Deadline for submissions: February19
Entry fee: $30  
Eddie Dominguez, University of Nebraska Lincoln ceramics professor, will make selections from some of the most intriguing and exceptional cups produced by contemporary ceramic artists in LUX Center for the Arts' fifth annual nationwide juried cup exhibition. Functional and non-functional interpretations of the cup, produced in clay, may be submitted.

LUX Artist-in-Resident Openings in Ceramics
Deadline for submissions: March 15
Application fee: $15
LUX Center for the Arts has immediate openings for 2 ceramic Artists-in-Residence.  Residencies can last 6 months to 2 years and are scheduled to begin June 1, 2013.  Ceramics residents are responsible for studio management, including firing all LUX student work, and in return receive free studio space, free firings, and use of regularly stocked clay and glaze materials.
