CALL FOR ENTRIES: Abstract This!



Abstract This will be a Belton Center for the Arts exhibition that is open enrollment. "Abstract" is an exhibit of non-figurative art, nonobjective art, and nonrepresentational art. Its structural units include line, shape, motion, texture, pattern, direction, scale, angle and space. 

EXHIBIT DATES:  March 2   - March 28, 2013
OPENING RECEPTION:  Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 7:00- 9:00pm

ENTRY INFORMATION
·  There is NO ENTRY FEE for submitting artwork.
·  There is a LIMIT OF 2 ENTRIES per artist and entries may be created in any medium.
·  All artwork must be properly mounted for hanging and should not exceed 48” in either direction.
·  Only original works of art that have not been previously exhibited at Belton Center for the Arts will be accepted. BCA reserves the right to refuse any work that does not meet the criteria.
·  SUBJECT MATTER is open to interpretation on the theme of “Abstract "
·  Due to limited space of this exhibit, ALL ARTWORK MUST HAVE A RESERVED SPACE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING. Any artwork that has not been reserved might not have the opportunity to display in the gallery. 

SUBMITTING ENTRIES

Artwork will be accepted at Belton Center for the Arts on the following dates & times:
·  Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 10:00AM – 2:00 PM.
·  Tuesday, February 19 and Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 10:00AM – 5:00 PM.
·  Call (864) 338-8556 if other delivery arrangements are needed.
·  EACH SUBMITTED ARTWORK MUST BE CLEARLY LABELED on the back with the artist’s name, title of artwork and medium. It should also include the price (if for sale) or marked NFS (if not for sale).
