Kolton Miller, binary, 15" x 22", woodblock reduction and dry point print
If the image above looks familiar to readers of this blog, well... it is.  It's Kolton Miller's woodblock reduction and dry point print, Binary, which was featured in the blog on February 22.

The big news is that it won the $500 First Place award in the Artworks First Annual Juried Print Exhibition in Trenton, New Jersey on March 8, 2014!  Also, a local art collector and printmaker, Bill Heineken, bought Kolton's piece.  Double congratulations, Kolton!

Artworks First Annual Juried Print Exhibition is a national exhibition showcasing prints created using traditional, hand pulled media, as well as works that employ new and hybridized media.
Juror:  Phyllis Wright
Phyllis received her BFA at Carnegie-Mellon University and her MFA from The George Washington University where she was a graduate Fellow.  Upon graduation she became an Assistant Professor of Art teaching Printmaking, Design and Mixed Media for a decade.  While living in Maryland, she was one of the original members of Maryland Print-makers, a not for profit educational corporation established to encourage the making and collecting of fine art prints.
