Redux
is the premier contemporary art venue in South Carolina offering
opportunities for emerging, mid-career, and established artists to
exhibit in historic downtown Charleston, SC. Exhibitions are not
limited to any media, and an exhibition committee will consider all
applicants for solo, two person, and group exhibitions for the 6-8
available slots in 2013/14. In addition, Michael Rooks, Wieland Family Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA will jury and curate one winning exhibition!
Redux
currently presents six to eight exhibitions each year. Redux aims for
diversity in style, media and subject matter when planning our season.
This year artists will be awarded an honorarium up to $1,000. This honorarium is to help artists offset installation, materials, shipping and travel costs. We encourage artists to approach their local arts council for additional funding.
To apply for an exhibition for the 2013/2014 calendar, you must submit the following in our slideroom:
· Portfolio of recent works (5 - 23)
· Inventory list including titles, dates completed, sizes, and mediums
· Artist Statement
· Artistic Resume
The official deadline for all entries is October 24, 2012.
Artists will be notified of results by email on or before December 7, 2012.
