Keynote speaker Robb Kendrick will headline the fourth annual Click646 photographic collective in Uptown Greenwood on Saturday, October 6th, 2012. The event will also feature workshops led by John Harrington from Washington and Hal Looney from Brevard, North Carolina. A presentation of the South Carolina Rivers Project, "Web of Water", will take place at the Arts Center featuring four South Carolina photographers jonholloway, Tom Blagden, Ben Keys, and Clay Bolt. This unique project was initiated with Upstate Forever in order to protect the Saluda-Reedy Watershed.
Click646 gets its name from 29646, one of Greenwood’s zip codes. The event is both a celebration of the photograph and recognition of the power of the photograph to inspire thought, conversation and action relating to world issues. The event will begin Saturday morning at 8:30 with coffee at the Arts Center. There will be workshops, opportunities to meet the keynote speaker, the student exhibit and awards ceremony, and presentations throughout the day. There will also be exhibits at sundance gallery and Meridian Studios. Live music from 'Red Wanting Blue' will be featured on Oregon Avenue that evening as well as Greenwood's first annual Oktoberfest celebration.
