Schuylkill Center’s Environmental Art Program
The Schuylkill Center’s Environmental Art Program accepts submissions of work addressing environmental themes. The center encourages proposals of site-specific outdoor installations and also has an indoor gallery that holds year-round exhibitions. Work in any 2-D or 3-D wall-mounted medium is eligible. Work should address the natural environment, through materials, concept, or imagery. The gallery is approximately 300 sq. ft. and appropriate for 1–3-person exhibitions. The center will host an opening for selected artists and will promote the exhibition through press releases, the Web site, a quarterly newsletter, and exhibition announcements. The center will take a 30% commission on all sales. Interested artists should submit 10–20 images of recent work (digital images on CD at no more than 300 dpi and 4 x 5 in.), image list (including title, date, dimensions, medium, and price if for sale), résumé, artist statement, and an application fee of $15.
