The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is calling for artists to submit work for our 6th annual National Open Visual Arts Show (NOVAS) - an exhibit showcasing a wide variety of high-quality art from around the country, bringing national perspectives to our community located on the edge of Atlanta. The exhibit will be on display from September 1st through the 29th of 2016.
It has been confirmed that this year's Award Winners will be selected by University of West Georgia professors Casey McGuire, Stephanie Smith, and Mark Schoon. To learn more about the jurors, please visit the university's website.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Wednesday, June 15 - all digital files and the entry fee are due.
You may apply through the following options:
- Fill-out the application form online by clicking HERE; please send digital files via Dropbox.
- Scan and email application form attached to the Prospectus to cultureadmin@earthlink.net; please send digital files via Dropbox.
- Mail-in the application form attached to the Prospectus along with a cd with the digital files.
THE "RED COCKERILL GALLERY" AWARDS
Awards are made possible by the Red Cockerill Gallery. Located at 2845 Cemetery St., Austell, Ga. 30106 , they offer workshops, exhibits, and custom framing services. </wbr>

ELIGIBILITY
Artists 18 years and up are eligible to submit original paintings, sculpture, hand-pulled prints, ceramics, drawings, fiber, photography, and original glass creations. Film, video, and molded or kit items are not eligible for this exhibit. Reproductions of artwork will not be accepted. Work accepted must remain on view for the entire exhibit, no exceptions.

Opening Reception at the Cultural Arts Council
Friday, Sept. 30 OR Wednesday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
All works must be picked up during these two dates. Shipped work will be returned C.O.D. as soon as possible.
