February 6, 2014 marked the official launch of the Penn Defibrillator Design Challenge, a nationwide contest that uses public art and design to raise awareness about Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
- AEDs are devices that shock the heart back to life during cardiac arrest.
- They are easy to apply and anyone can use them.
- Unfortunately, AEDs are sometimes hard to find.
Participate by:
- Submitting a design to win cash prizes and raise awareness about AEDs.
- Voting on your favorite designs in the Gallery.
- Winning more than $1000 in cash prizes. Winners are announced throughout the contest.
