Ann Pegelow Kaplan, Clemson University MFA in Art Alumna, to Mount Solo Exhibit, passage/s, at Tête in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, Germany

This summer, Ann Pegelow Kaplan (MFA in Art with an emphasis in photography) has been working in Berlin, Germany under the auspices of a research grant.  As a result of her work in Berlin, she will mount a solo exhibition at the cooperative gallery, Tête in Prenzlauer Berg.

There will be an opening reception on Thursday, August 4, from 6-8 pm.

About tête:
  • tête started on 10th March 2012 in the former TÄT art space on Schönhauser Allee.
  • tête is co-financed and time-shared by a group of artists.
  • Each artist organizes one month per year individually.
  • tête is an experiment in how to run an art space, artist run spaces usually being about collective decision making, tête is looking to create a cross section of artistic interests and will investigate as well as deconstruct any idea of ownership and community in the art space and between the artist organisers themselves.
  • With this in mind, tête has the potential, even destiny, to become an art space as social experiment.
