CALL FOR ENTRIES: Durham Art Guild's 61st ANNUAL JURIED EXHIBITION

Alice Gray Stites, Museum Director and Chief Curator of 21c Museum Hotels.

21c Museum Hotels is North America’s first multi-venue museum dedicated solely to collecting and exhibiting art of the 21st century. Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, 21c just opened their latest location in Downtown Durham at the corner of Main and Corcoran. The Museum is free and open to the public 24/7, 365 days a year and is an exciting and vibrant new addition to the Durham art community.

ELIGIBILITY
All artists working in any medium are encouraged to submit up to 3 original artworks for consideration. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Works must have been created within the last 2 years and must not have been displayed in a previous Durham Art Guild exhibition in SunTrust Gallery or Room 100 Gallery. Artists selected by the juror will be included in a group exhibition of the winning artworks at the Durham Art Guild’s SunTrust Gallery and will be considered for all awards.

SCHEDULE
Submission deadline: August 10th, 2015 by 11:59 p.m.
Notification of acceptance: August 18th, 2015
Delivery of accepted work: August 30th and August 31st, 2015 between 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Exhibition dates: September 4th - October 17th, 2015
Public receptions during Third Friday Durham: September 18th and October 16th, 2015 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Juror lecture: Yet to be determined
Pick up of work: October 18th and October 19th, 2015 between 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

AWARDS
1st Place: $800 / 2nd Place: $400 / 3rd Place: $200 / People’s Choice Award

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be determined by the juror and announced at the juror lecture on a date yet to be determined in SunTrust Gallery. The Peoples’ Choice Award will be determined by exhibition attendees and will be tallied and announced after the close of the exhibition. Awards will be mailed after the close of the exhibition.

FEES
DAG member entry fee is $25. Non-member entry fee is $35.

Processing fees for entry are non-refundable. DAG membership is available to anyone and “Exhibiting Artist” membership level dues are $50 annually.
