DEADLINE: JANUARY 16, 2013

It is a pleasure to announce the 14th Regina Brown Undergraduate Student Fellowship Awards to be presented next spring at our annual conference in Houston, TX. This is an annual award open to NCECA Members who are full-time undergraduate students matriculated in a degree program at an accredited college, university or art institute in the U.S. at the time of the application deadline. The student must have attained the classification of at least a junior or its equivalent.

Applications are to be supported by two (2) letters of recommendation. One from a current instructor and one from another instructor or professional ceramist. The student must make a project proposal for use of the $1,800.00 award (cannot include payment of tuition) and must submit additional materials as specified in the Application Details. A maximum of three awards may be made, of which $1,300.00 is mail following the end of conference. The balance of $500.00 is paid when a project report is submitted to the NCECA office.

The selection committee includes the Past President (chair), one Student DAL and a third ceramist of stature (an Honorary Member whenever possible) appointed by the President. Proposals will be selected based on the creativity of the project, the impact the award will have on the student's work and development, the quality of work presented, and the nature of the recommendation letters.
